Flatrate Buddy ("we," "our," or "us") is built for automotive flat-rate technicians. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it's protected.
Account data: Your email address and password (managed securely by Supabase Auth). We never see your raw password.
Work data you enter: Job entries (RO numbers, hours, job types, earnings), pay stubs, pay stub comparisons, and employee ID numbers. This data is yours.
Photos: If you upload pay stub photos for OCR scanning, they are sent to our backend for processing and are not stored permanently after the scan completes.
Subscription data: If you subscribe to Flat-Rate Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.
Device data: Standard usage logs (errors, crash reports) to help us improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included in logs.
Your work data is stored in two places: locally on your device (IndexedDB) and synced to our Supabase database hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by Supabase.
Each user can only read their own data. Row-level security policies enforce this at the database level.
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
You can delete individual entries at any time from within the app. You can request full account deletion by emailing us at the address below.
This app is intended for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify users via the app.
